Westella Sunday School (monthly)

Each Westella Sunday School explores a different Pinot Noir theme, diving deeper into either barrel aged Pinot or sparkling Pinot (Blanc de Noir or Vintage Rosé) crafted entirely from this versatile variety. We always source four Pinot Noir wines from further afield to line up alongside two vintages of our Westella Pinot. There's always a board of Tasmanian cheeses to share to amplify those Pinot flavours, too.

Our Sunday Schools are small, informal, relaxed and the perfect way to dip your toe into learning a little more about this fabulous variety. All opinions are welcome and we love that by the end of each session everyone is freely joining in the conversation, making new friends and feeling a little wiser about Pinot Noir.  Westella Sunday School is a safe space for all wine lovers whether you are just starting out on your friendship with wine or you have devoted considerable energy investigating Pinot over years! 

You can be sure though, Sunday School will always investigate Pinot, Westella is 100% Pinot Noir, after all.

JUNE 2026 - WESTELLA SUNDAY SCHOOL - This Sunday School we'll be sitting our 2023 Westella & 2023 Tippogoree (now sold out) alongside a selection of 2023 and 2024 Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley (Victoria) to explore the defining features of Pinot grown by our neighbours (ish) from across the Strait, the Yarra Valley.

AUGUST 2026 - WESTELLA SUNDAY SCHOOL - We'll be taking a short break in July to head west.  We'll be showcasing some of the unusual and interesting Pinots that we find during that trip from the Adelaide Hills.  As always, we'll be lining them up alongside a couple of Westella Pinots and presenting them all with a selection of Tasmania's finest cheeses.

30 AUGUST 2026, 1:30pm - Pinot Noir from the Adelaide Hills

SEPTEMBER 2026 - WESTELLA SUNDAY SCHOOL - On our trip west in July, we will be finding a selection of Pinot Noir from West Australia including from it's cooler, lusher corner of the Great Southern wine region. Expect to see them lined up alongside a couple of our Westella Pinots and our delicious cheese selection.

27 SEPTEMBER 2026, 1:30pm - Pinot Noir from Western Australia

OCTOBER 2026 - WESTELLA SUNDAY SCHOOL - To celebrate the release of our 2026 Pinot Rosé, this Sunday School will be taking a closer look at a selection of Rosés crafted entirely from Pinot Noir. Join us to discover the fruit laden possibiilties of pinot and the vineyard & winemaking approaches that deliver them to your glass. We'll be serving specially chosen Tasmanian cheeses matched to our this wine line up.

25 OCTOBER 2026, 1:30pm - 100% Pinot Noir Rosés to celebrate the release of our 2026 Pinot Rosé

NOVEMBER 2026 - WESTELLA SUNDAY SCHOOL - With party season about to step up, we'll be celebrating the release of our sparkling rosé & queen of a good time, the Clairmarais. We'll find a selection of sparkling rosés from further afield and line them up for a look at those characteristic features of sparklings made exclusively from pinot noir. We'll include one of our Blanc de Noir to help us understand the magic that is created for a sparkling rosé from the time it spends sitting on its Pinot skins
